  • One of the very rare designers, that I admire, not only for the beauty of his creations but as well for the social influence that his work had in his early decades.

    He knew how to use his creativity, at the service of womanhood, and did accompany and help women, by providing them confidence and independence.

    He was not just another talented designer. He had a vision for society, and he did work his all life, on his own way, to pursue that vision.

    Merci Monsieur Saint-Laurent, may you now find peace.

  • Well, if he was something of an activist at heart, he certainly did it with more style than most. Most men could do worse than emulating the dress of Monsieur Saint-Laurent. His bespoke suits were made in Italy and the shirts were English, as it turns out. He was a man that could pull off double-breasted suits with much panache.
