I agree. I thought she was somewhat foreign as well until I saw “Beijing”. I think it’s the combination of colours, patterns and her hair.

The fabric of the main dress seems gauzy like the very thin Indian cottons so great for summer. And the pattern and colors too – deep borders – also is a hallmark of Indian design. If the material is actually cotton and not synthetic, then maybe China too is producing this wonderful breezy summer cloth. There are lots of imitations in synthetics and they are not as cooling for summer wear.
