This interview with me appeared in Agenda, a bimonthly English magazine here in Beijing.

Red Brogue Girl
Amy is a retro kind of girl. She hopes to live in a courtyard nearby Nanluoguxiang and shops at the secondhand market. From Qingdao, she studied design in Beijing and now works as a designer at Wanda Place. I have a pair of red brogues just like hers except in suede.

A Standard Experience
The time in NYC passed like a dream. Above is my room in the Standard seen from the tracks below. It is the room with the curtain open – I am something of an exhibitionist. Benetton picked the trendiest hotel in the hippest part of town for its “It’s My Time” shooting. “Props” – as they say – to them for their good choice.
Zhang Chi å¼ é©°
I can’t believe that Zhang Chi has not appeared on Stylites before. A very Beijing sort of boy from accent to attitude, Zhang Chi went to the UK to study at 16 and later pursued a master’s degree in Milan, Italy, at Istituto Marangoni. Returning to China in 2010, his collections have shown at China Fashion Week. One of his main themes is a medieval knight brought up to the 21st century. I suspect we will have a more in-depth interview with him here in the near future.
The Future Global Cognitive Elite?
Elizabeth Ho is the single person of 100% Chinese extraction in the “It’s My Time photoshoot, currently occuring in the Meatpacking District.
Here she is being interviewed by May Chang, Senior Editor of the Chinese edition of Milk Magazine. May is a Hong Kong girl based in Beijing. The other member of the Chinese media at the “It’s My Time” event was Quentin Li, Fashion Director at Elle. And then there was me.
Two Nights in the Meatpacking
Springtime downtown is heartbreaking – the incomparable light, the adorable architecture, and everyone so attractive and determined. It’s another whirlwind tour through Manhattan, this time to attend the shooting of “It’s My Time”. Lodging is in the Standard, cocktails with the 20 finalists are in the Boom Boom Room and the photo shoot by Josh Olins is at Superstudios. I am eager to experience life in the Meatpacking District.
Play with Polka Proportions
From Sichuan, Momo has worked for years on editing and marketing for magazines. Her plan is to spend time in London studying media and building connections. Before that, she will come out with a book on her experiences with couch surfing.
SuCESs is a Multi-Colored Thing
Ces, who appeared last year on Stylites, is an editor at Chinese Men’s Uno. He was walking at a very leisurely pace down Nanluoguxiang. This is his blog.
